Playstation 3-Review

One thing that my family has come to rely on for entertainment is the Playstation 3. I was totally against this purchase a few years ago. I couldn't see how this expensive piece of equipment was necessary. Today, I eat my words. In the beginning it only served as a place to play video games for my husband. Then we ordered Netflix to see what it was about. Okay, I am beginning to like this machine. I liked Netflix so much that we canceled our cable service. Then we ordered Hulu so we had up to date shows. And for LESS than cable we were able to have MORE shows, on our Playstation! And YouTube has an app on there now. I have to say we use the Playstation 3 more than anything in our home. The Netflix app on it has a children only part so my kids can watch only there shows and I can leave the room knowing they aren't watching anything inappropriate. They are old enough now that they can play games on it! OH! And in the game slot you can also watch DVD's so you don't have to clutter the entertainment stand with DVD players and things like that. There are USB slots that you can plug your phone charger (if it has a USB outlet on it) into. You can put pictures on your Playstation, music, games. There are endless possibilities to the Playstation 3.  I am so glad that we bought the Playstation 3, I apologized to my husband for all the fuss I gave him when he bought it. It is a great, versatile useful machine!

Finish Dish-tabs - Review

So, I ran out of dish-tabs last night and this morning my sink was overflowing with dishes (It doesn't take much with a family of 5 and a small sink.) I sent my husband out for dish-tabs. They were out of my regular Cascade tabs and Finish was on sale so (being the frugal person I am) he thought "She would appreciate a sale!" and picked them up. However, I am sorely disappointed. (Not his fault!) First, I opened them up, and unlike Cascade, they do not have a pleasant scent to them. They are in little plastic papers that you open and place the tab in the dishwasher. Okay, I thought, lets give it a go, dishtabs are dish-tabs... right? Nope. The little red ball fell out as soon as I put it in the dishwasher. I thought "well, maybe its supposed to" I pre-rinsed my dishes, not "pre-washed" them. I turn the dishwasher on and when it is finished I go to unload them. However, I don't get to unload most of the dishes because, they didn't get clean. Half the tab was in the bottom of the dishwasher not even dissolved. I figured it was just a fluke, and turned it on again (this time the little red ball did not come out when I put it in...) and turned it on. This time the dishes were cleaner and the tab was still not all the way dissolved. I will stick with Cascade from now on, who knows maybe this box was a fluke? I'm always up for giving things second chances.

Green Mountain Coffee - BzzAgent Review

This past month I received a #bzzkit from #BzzAgent for the "Green Mountain Coffee Fair Trade Campaign." In the package I received sample packs and coupons. (It came with 3 Vermont Country Blend, 3 Sumatran, 3 Colombian and 3 Wild Mountain Blueberry).
I tried one of the Sumatran, and I just didn't like it. It was a little bitter to me. However I tried the blueberry and OHHH! Heaven! Hot or Iced it is delicious. I headed over to my mothers so that she could try the other flavors with her friends. They seemed to really enjoy the Vermont Country Blend and Colombian brews. The house smelled delicious, I will say that.
I went and bought a package of Wild Mountain Blueberry from the Green Mountain Coffee Website.
I use a Keurig brewer, but Green Mountain also sells their Fair Trade Coffee in bags.

I also want to point out that while Green Mountain coffee is delicious and enjoyable, when you buy Fair Trade coffee, you are helping out the world. By paying farmers a fair wage for their coffee and using Eco-friendly farming, you are improving someone and their communities life. BY DRINKING COFFEE! Something that most of us do on a regular basis. That will give you something else to feel good about (besides that amazing first sip of coffee in the morning!)

Thank you BzzAgent and Green Mountain Coffee!!!
